Frequently asked questions

How do I sign in?

Sign in with your phone number and the code sent by text, or use Sign in with Apple. Phone sign-in currently supports US and Canadian numbers.

How do I add friends?

Add people from your contacts with phone sign-in and Contacts permission. Contacts only show as “on zhzh” if that person chose to be findable by their number. People already on zhzh get a friend request; others get an invite by Messages. Requests appear under Settings → Friend requests, where you can Accept or Decline. An invite code in Settings is the backup: paste a code a friend shared, or share your own.

Why does a locked iPhone hear rather than feel a buzz?

iOS does not let zhzh play its custom haptic rhythm while the app is in the background or your phone is locked. A notification can play the rhythm as sound, depending on your notification and sound settings. Tap it to open zhzh and feel the buzz.

How do I pause buzzes?

In Settings, turn off Receiving buzzes. Turn it back on when you’re ready. Buzzes still arrive in your inbox, but won’t vibrate or notify you while paused. Pausing also stops new live invites; it does not end a live session already running. Use Stop to end that session.

How do I block or report someone?

Open the friend’s page and choose Block or Report. When reporting, choose a reason and optionally add a note about what happened. You can report and block together. Blocking removes the friendship and stops that person from sending you buzzes or live invites.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete account and confirm, or email support@jaraza.com if you can’t open the app. Your sessions end immediately, your account disappears from other people’s views, and your friendships, pending requests, invites and blocks are removed. Your buzz history and patterns stop being accessible. Your phone number and Apple sign-in link are released; signing in again starts a new, empty account.

Remaining profile, pattern, buzz and live-session records are permanently deleted within 30 days. Safety reports are kept for 1 year after resolution, with account IDs replaced by tombstone IDs, and retain name and evidence snapshots. Fraud, abuse and contact-matching counters and device attestation records can remain for up to 30 days; a number removed by moderation may remain on an abuse prevention deny list.
